Mateo unveiled another late kick off for Boise State's conference opener against Utah State and some Bronco fans have said they're the reason why they won't purchase season tickets.  There must be some reason they keep scheduling these games this late, right?

The Mountain West conference bonuses their members for any conference controlled game that a team plays on ESPN, ESPN 2 or other large broadcast networks.  Teams receive $500,000 for a Saturday appearance or $300,000 for a weekday game like BSU's upcoming game against BYU.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Boise State's already racked up $1.9 million in bonus money season and that could grow when a broadcast is announced for the homecoming game against Colorado State on October 15th.

Boise State has at least three more 8:15 p.m. kick offs (against Utah State, BYU and San Jose State) and at least two more 7:00 p.m. kick offs (against New Mexico and UNLV.)

In a recent 103.5 KISS FM poll late kick off times is the #2 reason our listeners won't buy season tickets.  It was 2nd only to the price of season tickets.
