Sick of being stuck in security lines at the airport?

There's an easy shortcut around that, but you have to act this week.

The Transportation Security Administration has greenlighted their temporary Precheck enrollment center here at the Boise Airport. You see the "TSA Precheck" lines at security, but what does that actually mean for you?

  • Shorter line to wait thru
  • You don't need to remove clothing items such as shoes, belts, and jackets
  • You can keep liquids in your carry on bag
  • No need to remove your laptop from a case/bag

That may not seem like a big difference, but the TSA Precheck can cut your time at airport security up to 90%. If you want to take advantage, you have to make it happen this week. You can enroll in Precheck at the Boise Airport thru Thursday 10am-2pm and 3pm-7pm, or on Friday from 7am-11am and 12pm-4pm. All you need to sign up is a U.S. passport or driver's license and a copy of your birth certificate

The cost to enroll is $85, and the "trusted traveler" status remains active for five years at airport security lines across the country.
