This restaurant has been a landmark along the Greenbelt for over 70 years, but it's nearing its end.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Ben's Crow Inn located near the Sky Bar intersection off of Warm Springs will close it's doors for good in this September.

The Hamilton family who's owned the restaurant and tavern for decades have decided to sell the property because both husband and wife are ready to retire.  The buyer has decided to get rid of Ben's Crow Inn and replace it with single family homes.

Although I've never eaten there, this bums me out because Ben's Crow Inn has been a huge landmark for me during runs on the Greenbelt.  I've got fond memories of my old training partner telling me how awesome the clams at The Crow were when we ran past it during the Famous Potato Half Marathon in 2011.  Last February it was our turn around point during a run celebrating a friend's cancer being in remission.  The Hamilton family hooked us up with a couple of PBRs to celebrate the occasion.  This October I couldn't wait to get Ben's because I knew it was close to the turn around in the City of Trees Marathon and my back injury was KILLING me so I couldn't wait to finish.

Do you have some great memories from The Crow?  If you do post up and share them here!
