Idaho Tattoo Parlors Need Little to no Certification
If you’re looking for a great tattoo artist, check out their work on Instagram.
If you’re looking for Idaho to protect you from less than reputable tattoo shops, you’re on your own.
According to C.J., an artist at Underground Ink in Twin Falls, tattoo shops in Idaho need to abide by zero codes, regulations, or certifications to open and operate:
Anybody and their mama could open up a shop with pretty much no experience. Go on Ebay and buy a whole kit, little beginner kit and open the door basically. I mean there’s none, there’s no regulations whatsoever.
If you’re wondering how to find a clean and safe tattoo parlor to get some new ink, there’s some signs to look for in the establishment. Just make sure you ask a lot of questions about your artist’s processes of keeping their equipment and work environment clean and sterile.
Looking for a tattoo shop in the Treasure Valley? I personally get my tattoo art done at Erykane Ink & Art on Vista. The shop is clean, sterile, and the work they do is second to none. You can see the Kylo Ren tattoo that Eryka from Erykane did on me recently above.
