I’m speechless – This Bill Would Deny Services In Idaho

Deep breath...3,2,1....Wooooooosaaaahhhhhhhh. Ok now that I'm composed, what the actual  (expletive).  Is this actually for real? Please for one second let's put aside the how bad this will make Boise and the whole state of Idaho look (yep that's you and me as well folks). This is just plane wrong. I'm not scared to say it. This is wrong. Read this story written by Kimberlee Kruesi about an Idaho Bill that would deny services to gays and single mothers:

An Idaho lawmaker is pushing legislation that would allow businesses to deny services to gay people as long as they cited sincerely held religious beliefs.

 

Under the new bill, Idahoans would not lose their professional or occupational licenses if they refused to provide their services to an individual or a group because they were exercising their religion.

It also states that doctors can deny treatment, teachers would be able to deny education.

The article also states "...the bill does not, Luker said, protect individuals from being fired if they do choose to deny someone for religious reasons."
