If there's one thing I've been to a lot of in Boise, it's local bars!  Business Insider and Foursquare teamed up and concluded that the best bar in Idaho is located in Downtown Boise!

Business Insider used user ratings on the app that's designed to help people explore and find new places in their hometowns and abroad.  The users determined that Bittercreek Ale House on 8th street is the best bar in the entire state.

Users were most impressed with Bittercreek's craft beer selection and the seasonal ingredients that kick up the brews.  You'll find beers that incorporate everything from honey, to dandelion, to apricot (Sockeye's Summer Ale is a favorite of mine) on tap.  Or you can opt for a cocktail inspired by Bittercreek's sister restaurant and next door neighbor, Red Feather.  Their pub food is far fancier than other options in the Treasure Valley.  If you're going for more than hand cut fries to munch on, I highly recommend the Chicken Wiseguy.

I give Bittercreek two thumbs up, but if you know me my two go to bars are Old Chicago and Dirty Little Roddy's.  Who do YOU think is the best bar in the state and what do you love about them?
