It's Back: Summer Feeding Programs for Kids

School is almost out! All kids in the Treasure Valley will have access to meals through the Summer Food Service Program where free meals are provided to kids who won't otherwise have a meal available to them.

Many kids receive free or reduced meals from schools all through the Treasure Valley. Once school is out, those meals are not provided until late summer/early fall because school is out.

In order for all kids to receive good meals, a federally-funded Summer Food Service Program has been introduced to the valley once again. Meals will be provided to children ages 1 through 18 years, without charge.

Who is excluded? Nobody.

Acceptance and participation for the program are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age or disability. There will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Elementary Schools: (no meals - July 3rd and 4th)

Morley Nelson Elementary - 7701 W. Northview St.
- June 5th - June 23rd - Lunch Only: 12:00-12:45 p.m.
- June 26th - July 28th - Breakfast: 8:30-9:30 a.m.; Lunch: 12:00-12:45 p.m.
- June 5th - July 28th - Suppers served at Community Center: 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Hawthorne Elementary - 2401 W. Targee St.
- June 5th - August 4th - Breakfast: 8:30-9:30 am; Lunch: 12:00-12:30 p.m.
