Each year in the Treasure Valley--unless the heatwaves beat it to the punch, it's the Boise River floating season that signals the beginning of summer.  Apparently, as I'm realizing this year...it's the CLOSING of the river that signals the opposite: summer is coming to an end.

I'm pretty upset about the fact that I didn't make time to hit the Boise River once this summer--since I was in high school here in Boise that has always been one of my long standing favorite traditions.

That said, you DO still have time to float if you have Labor Day off.  At 9:00 p.m. on Monday night, Boise River Raft and Tube located in Barber Park will be shutting the shop for the season.

Today, Sunday September 2nd and tomorrow, Labor Day (September 3rd), both the raft rental shop and the river shuttle will be open from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
