It was the longest two weeks of our lives and it's finally over. We got cleared to bring Lennox home over the Memorial Day Weekend and he's doing much better. So many people to thank and a lot of people asked, "what happened?"

I'm not sure how other parents do it, but we had no idea how to prepare for what happened about two weeks ago. Lennox suddenly became nauseus in the middle of the night. The constant vomiting was happening every 20 minutes for hours. Paige finally took him to St. Luke's Children's Hospital later that afternoon while I was on the radio.

Long story short, he was admitted and that began a very long 14 day panic for us. We started out in the pediatric unit to keep an eye on him which escalated quickly in to an emergency surgery. We spent several days in the PICU before we spent another week back in pediatrics. Scary is an understatement. We were devastated. This little boy has gone through so much in his little 16 months and his resilience is unparalleled.

We were fortunate enough to get a great surgeon who recognized a problem and without pause, fixed it. It was all timing and we're very lucky.

Lennox is at home playing and recovering right now. We've definitely come closer to our son if that's even possible. This has made us realize that in one second everything can change. I'm lucky enough to have an understanding company and great career that has allowed me the time to be there for my family. I'm a radio personality and there's only one of me. If I have to take off my show, you know it's really bad. My Kissfm staff and even corporate team made it clear, family first.

My job at 103.5 Kissfm is expanding and who knows how long I'll be able to keep up with the ever changing industry. It seems like getting up earlier, working later and blogging weekends is the norm these days. I begin to wonder what's most important after going through all these complications with Lennox. There's one thing for sure. Nobody lays on their death bed saying to themselves, "Wish I would have worked longer on that project!"

We'll see, but right now we're just all happy Lennox is healthy again.
