A nice, cool brew on a summer day is a beautiful thing.  A nice, cool over carbonated beer that you need protective eye wear to dispose of...not so much.

10 Barrel Brewing Company is issuing a voluntary recall of their Swill beer in 12 and 22 ounce bottles after finding out that some of the beer was undergoing secondary fermentation in the bottle.  That causes the beer to be over carbonated.  They've pulled Swill from wholesalers and retail shelves.

The brewery says that anyone that has Swill at home should NOT open it, attempt to move it or return it to the store that they bought it at.  In fact they're saying consumers should wear protective gloves and eye wear, place the bottles in a closed box and place it in a secured dumpster or trash can.

Yes, this is a serious warning.  A Facebook commenter joked that it's time to hit their secret spot to by rest of the Swill out there, but the brewery replied telling him to "take this seriously and dispose of any Swill bottles."

UPDATE: In fact, Erica who came to party with us in McCall for the 4th of July was the unfortunate one to discover there was something wrong with the brew.  Her bottle exploded on a camping trip and she ended up with 3 stitches.
