Used to think going to one of the local craft breweries was an escape from the little ones? A new law now allows children in breweries.

Beginning July 1st, Section 23-944 of the Idaho Code will allow anyone under the age of twenty-one to enter and be present at a licensed brewery where beer is consume.

One local brewery is embracing the new law by throwing a family friendly party with a balloon artist (you may have seen that very artist at the Canyon County Kids Expo earlier this year,) ice cream truck, bounce house and live music. Payette Brewing's kids day is Friday, July 1st from 5-10 PM at their new South Pioneer Street location.

I'm happy for my friends that can bring their kiddos along to the brewery if they can't find a sitter, but I'm not crazy about the new law.  How do you feel about letting children into breweries?
