The holiday weekend forecast calls for sunny skies with mid to upper 80's through Tuesday. If you're planning on splashing the lake with friends here's a few things you might wanna screen shot.

A press release just went out from The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation in conjunction with Lucky Peak State Park management expressing that boaters need to take precautions when accessing Lucky Peak for Memorial Day Weekend.

Launch Access on Lucky Peak that includes access to gas your boats and docks are being impacted by water management and fluctuating lake levels. Pay even closer attention to a lot of debris in the water from excessive run off that could impact various activities on the lake. Please exercise caution and patience.

Ramp and Launch Access:

Only the following ramps will be open for launching this weekend at Lucky Peak.

  • Turner Gulch.
  • West ramp at Spring Shores.

These are the only two launches that will be available for access. This is a direct quote from Surat Nicol, Lucky Peak State Park Assistant Manager,

We're asking boaters to plan in advance for the busy weekend, understanding that launch docks at both Turner Gulch and Spring Shores will be limited.

Important Fueling Information: The fuel dock at Spring Shores Marina will not be available.
