Meteor Explosion Over Idaho Caught on Camera

You only see it for a split-second, but it's something you may only see once in a lifetime.

Youtuber Donny M was filming a meteor shower earlier this week over Spirit Lake, but this isn't your normal time lapse. Throughout the video, you'll see meteors screaming across the sky while the Earth spins and stars slowing trickle by. But :10 into the video, something bright catches your eye. He actually caught a meteor exploding on camera!

You'll see a very quick bright flash. Due to the speed of the time lapse, it's one of those blink-and-you-might-miss-it moments. Take the time to rewind to :10 a couple times and watch the flash that lights up the sky.

This isn't something that is captured on film very often.
