Eat 500-700 calories a day, they said.  You'll lose weight, they said.  You'll have incredible energy, they said.  I was skeptical, but I'm seeing results! 

Once upon a time, I ran a lot of endurance races around the Treasure Valley.  I completed three half marathons and two full marathons in the span of a year and a half, but for whatever reason life got in the way and I gave up training seriously...but didn't give up my love of local craft beer and pizza.  Slowly over three years, that packed on 20 lbs.  I've tried to start running again, but that extra weight causes so much impact on my joints when I run that it physically hurts. So, I can do about 4 miles before I feel like I'm going to fall apart.
