Sometimes things or phrases become synonymous with a city. VooDoo Doughnuts, Portland. Space Needle, Seattle, and Twister the Tortoise, Nampa. Unfortunately, Twister may have been stolen from the home of one of the caretakers that work at the Reptile Adventures a non-profit animal rescue facility.

A Nampa man is hoping for the safe return of his 75-pound tortoise named Twister.
The tortoise disappeared on Monday afternoon from the backyard of Tyler Messina, the owner, and president of Reptile Adventures, a nonprofit animal rescue facility.
Messina tells KTVB that there was no evidence that Twister broke out of the yard, and that he may have been stolen.

Twister shell was painted white, blue, yellow and red by his previous owners. It's important he get's back to Reptile Adventures because he suffers from a respiratory condition and will not survive long without the proper care. If you have any information as to the whereabouts of Twister, please contact Tyler Messina at (208) 863-1192
