Missy Elliott is delivering on her promise to give fans new music. In March, she hinted that there was a collabo between herself and Pharrell when she posed for an Instagram photo in the studio with the caption "get ready." Now the culmination of their work arrives in a snippet.

The song, "WTF (Where They From)," already sounds like a hit -- a testament to the N.E.R.D. producer's knack for making gems. As the dance-inducing beat starts, listeners hear the "Frontin" singer say "Shawty what?" before the Supa Dupa Fly creator heads into her slew of creative rhymes with a fast flow.

The song debuted in partnership with ESPN during the commercial break for Monday Night Football on Oct. 26. Fans can expect to hear it continuously this week as the sports entertainment company will integrate it in NBA Countdown as well as the doubleheader on Wednesday night (Oct. 28) featuring the San Antonio Spurs vs. Oklahoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves. The song will also be played during the game and studio coverage of the early part of the NBA season, according to ESPN's press release.

The "Work it" rapper has been making a steady comeback since her half time performance at the Super Bowl XLIX in February. After joining forces with Janet Jackson on the fan-favorite track "BURNITUP!" it seems Missy is back to her old self.

We can't wait to hear the full version of "WTF," which drops on Nov. 13. There's already a music video in the worksListen to a snippet of Missy Elliott and Pharrell's magic in the studio below.
