We're always proud of our Idaho police officers, but today our men in blue went above and beyond.

When Officer Aaron Coleman from the Nampa Police Department found out that all a local resident named Jacob wanted for Christmas was a police badge, he made a special mission to not only help Jacob receive his Christmas wish, but ensure he received some extra gifts as well.

Jacob, along with some classmates, were able to be picked up from school, tour the Nampa Police Department, receive gifts from SWAT and meet the officers that keep us safe on a daily basis.

Jacob was beaming from ear-to-ear, and appeared thrilled to be an honorary officer for the afternoon. The only downside? Jacob stated was writing essays, which the police officers need to write on the daily.

We love watching our community members look forward to being an officer when they grow up, and we are grateful to live in a community where our officers are eager to give back!
