Nampa Police Want You to Stop Looking for Scary Clowns
Yes, the creepy clown epidemic has reached the Gem State. Just don't get in the way of the Nampa police on their clown hunt.
Numerous sightings of citizens in creepy clown costumes have been spotted in Nampa, but police there are imploring people there to not go looking for clowns on their own:
Nampa Residents - we are aware of the continued Facebook posts regarding clowns in Nampa. We are taking precautions, but the large number of Nampa residents who are out looking for the clowns is making this more difficult to deal with. Please don't participate. Whether you are out trying to help or looking for an adventure, we ask that you go home. While we appreciate your effort to help, it is only adding to the issue. Thank You.
In the vast majority of these clown cases, no one is actually breaking the law. However, a school closed in Cincinnati last week after a woman was attacked by a clown.
If you see someone in a clown costume actually doing something illegal, please contact your local police.
