Last Wednesday when we were walking over to Kleiner Park for Fleet Feet's "Village on the Run" I noticed that something was very different about the space that Paperie & Pen is in.

Retailers Shuffle Spaces

...it wasn't Paperie & Pen anymore! The Robert Comstock store was moving their leather jackets and apparel into the building.  I hadn't heard anything about Paperie & Pen going out of business, so the next words out of my mouth were "hey, where did Paperie & Pen go?"  Just as I got the words out, I noticed a sandwich board sign that with an arrow pointing across the street to the new Paperie & Pen storefront next to Rural Haze.

Peperie & Pen and Robert Comstock aren't the only shops playing musical chairs.  According to Channel 2, Walla Walla Clothing Company is planning a move from their current location near White House Black Market to a suite next to Victoria's Secret.

New Stores Prepare for August Openings

This Spring, we told you that Urban Outfitters joined a growing list of national retailers leaving Downtown Boise.  Rather than totally go out of business in the Treasure Valley, they planned to move the store into the suite across from The Counter at The Village.  The spot's been going under renovations for quite some time and as of July 26th, the Urban Outfitters sign is up outside. The 10,000 square foot store is supposed to be open by the end of the month.

And after the massive success of free lipstick day this past weekend, MAC Cosmetics lovers will have a second place to load up on their favorite make-up.  Right now the only MAC location in the Treasure Valley is next to Macy's at Boise Towne Square Mall, but by the end of the month there will be a second location in The Village across from Charming Charlie.
