Here's a rundown on some notable music releases out this week.
Pick of the Week: Honeyblood
The Scottish rock group Honeyblood have taken the indie music blog world by storm thanks to their marvelous songs Bud, and Killer Bangs that assure listeners that their debut LP is something to take note of.
Slow Club
The English duo Slow Club has released a series of great records in the past decade but it's their brand new record Complete Surrender that's their most elaborate and impressive. Check out their track Suffering You, Suffering Me to get a feel for the band's blazing sound.
Jungle
Released on the great record label XL, the London group Jungle have caught many people's attention shortly after surfacing here in the US last year. They finally came out with their debut American release and it's a stunner.
Morrissey
Morrissey's long-awaited and much-anticipated new record "World Peace is None of Your Business' was produced by Joe Chiccarelli, who's produced albums for many notable artists including Jack White and The Strokes. His latest LP features some very interesting song titles including "Kick the Bride Down the Aisle" and "Earth Is the Loneliest Planet".
Luluc
Coming out on the always strong Seattle record label Sub Pop, the gorgeously sounding folk duo Luluc have released a beautiful and calming record that's bound to satisfy anyone looking for some soft, lovely tunes.
