I saw a picture on Instagram last week that made me think: why do we hide our tampons when we go to the bathroom?!

If you're a woman, you know exactly what I'm talking about. We stick them in our sleeve or pockets as though we have to discreetly be on our periods. Even though we get them every. single. month. Even though it's literally normal to be on your period. But for whatever reason, we feel the need to hide it. Like we're embarrassed that it's 'that time of the month'. Why? Why do we need to keep it a secret?

I've declared the rest of 2019 as 'Open Carry'. Meaning I'll carry my tampons in my hand in plain site from now on. No, I won't be waving them around or making a scene, but I'm also not going to hide them. There's no reason and there's nothing to be ashamed of. I'm a woman. I have a period every month. And I won't act like that's a big deal.

2019 I'm implementing the open carry tampon policy. Who's with me?!
