With the Fourth of July comes fireworks and with fireworks come many afraid pets.  Obviously our cats and dogs are used to hear large cracks and booms come from all directions of town and if you're going out to watch the firework shows yourself--your pets may be afraid at home alone without you!

Because runaway pets are so common over this weekend, the Idaho Humane Society is waiving any redemption fees associated from rescuing  your pet from there between July 5th and 7th.

Just because you can "bail out" your little friend for free after the holiday, that doesn't mean you shouldn't take every precaution necessary to keep them from running away.  The Humane Society recommends keeping pets inside, first and foremost.  It's also a great time to make sure your pets registration and microchip information is up to date, as well.  For more tips and information, click HERE.
