Pokemon Go, producing heroes in the Treasure Valley since 2016!

According to KTVB, an 18-year-old man playing Pokemon GO at 4 a.m. on Sunday morning was the person who placed the 911 call reporting a fire behind the LDS church on Deer Flat Road in Kuna.

The man was hunting Pokemon when he saw the two Deseret Industries Thrift Store donation units behind the church on fire.  He told dispatch that he thought he saw two teenagers fleeing from the burning units.

Kuna Fire was able to extinguish the flames before they threatened the church, but the storage units were completely destroyed.  Between the units and the donate items, they estimate damages at $23,000.

Anyone with information about the fire should call Kuna Police.
