Police Looking for Meridian Carjacker

Police are looking for your help in finding a man who carjacked a 2000 Mercury Sable from an 89-year old woman in Meridian. He could be suspected shooter Marco Romero. 

There was a carjacking reported near the Touchmark retirement center in Meridian. An 89-year old woman told officers that she was driving away from the retirement center when a man popped up from the back seat and told her that he needed her car. She gave him her car and he gave the woman her water bottle and cane before he drove off.

Based on the woman's description of the man, police are thinking the man is Marco Romero who is wanted in connection with a shooting at the Cherry Lane apartments in Meridian on Tuesday night. He’s driving a 2000 four-door gold Mercury Sable with license plate 1A PX778.
