Pumpkin Spice Latte Gets A Makeover

We're still waiting for the official word from @TheRealPSL on when it will return to stores this year, but now we know why it's said its "been working on itself" during its hiatus.  Something will be very different about Starbucks's Pumpkin Spice Latte this fall!

Last year a post by blogger Food Babe tried to outrage the PSL faithful by exposing the fact that there was no real pumpkin in the fall favorite.  She also went on to say the beverage contained a toxic dose of sugar and contained a known carcinogen, Carmel Coloring Level IV.  This fall? No more!

Starbucks announced yesterday that this year's PSL will be made with REAL pumpkin and without caramel coloring.  Still concerned over what's in it?  Starbucks made the entire ingredient list transparent HERE.

Of course there's still one remaining question...when is the PSL coming back?! Last year it returned on August 25th, but I'm hearing this year it may be later (but still in time for the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic!) When reached for comment, the PSL gave me nothing.
