The DEQ has issued a red air alert for the Treasure Valley following this weekend's wildfire. The alert is in effect for both Ada and Canyon County.

According to KTVB.com

The alert is in place for both Ada County and Canyon County after a wildfire burning near Grimes Creek sent smoke and haze drifting into the valley. The Walker Fire, last estimated at about 2,500 acres, has already destroyed several homes and sparked evacuations in the area.

The smoke may clear out by this evening but if you want to do your part today, it is suggested that you refrain from outdoor burning and limit your driving.
