Robin Williams Dead At 63

Suicide has taken another actor and this one is gonna linger.  CNN is reporting Robin Williams is dead at 63.

Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time.” - Family representative.

Depression is a scary thing.  I hope his family is able to mourn in this difficult time.  Robin was masterful in "Good Will Hunting."  I was so excited for his most recent show, "The Crazy Ones" on CBS out last year.  The network didn't pick it up for a 2nd season and that was unfortunate.  Williams career started and ended on the sitcom set.  He will be known by some from "Mork and Mindy", "Good Will Hunting" and the one I still stop when it's on, "Mrs. Doubtfire".

His wife, Susan Schneider, released this difficult statement:

This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin’s family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.
