Safe, Fun, And Family Friendly Haloween Event in Meridian
As a father, my attention to Haloween activities has changed from "which bar has the best prize for a costume contest" to "where can I take my daughter that is fun, safe, family friendly and most importantly, cheap". After searching a bit I found an event that hits all the above and it's right around the corner.
The Meridian Mayor's Youth Advisory Council is putting on
Trunk or Treat & Dance to the Beat Thursday, October 25th from 6pm to 9pm.
Downtown Meridian becomes a festival of costumes as more than 100 businesses create mini-other worlds. Each and every one them has a treat for the kids! DJ Gomez spins the tunes getting everyone of all ages moving their feet to the funky beat. Ballet Folklorico performs Day of the Dance dances in full regalia just before we have the costume parade so everyone gets a moment to show off their costume.
