Soldier Mountain Ski Area Closed Thursday

The snow and ice in Boise is pretty severe.

It doesn't hold a candle to what's happening on Soldier Mountain.

Spokespersons say due to too much snow accumulation, the ski area will be closed all day today. Employees are also having a hard time making it in because of treacherous road conditions.

Soldier Mountain Ski Area has 70 inches of snow at the top of the ski hill. Which, if you think about it, is pretty much one adult deep. That's a lot of snow.

The ski area says they will be open Friday thru Monday.
