Maybe you're one of those people who see my race day photos on Instagram and say to yourself, "It look's like they're having so much fun...but I just don't run. I can't actually even dream about making it 3.1 miles."  Well, if you still want all the race bling that we get for running some stupid long distance without having to do the work, this race is for you!

The Official St. Paddy Day .5K is coming to Downtown Boise this Saturday, March 11th! The Pun Run is only .31 miles long (the length of a Downtown Boise block or about 1.25 laps around a high school track.)  It is legit the shortest race you've ever "run" but you still get all the fun race swag that you'd get at any of the other 5Ks, 10Ks or half marathons in the Treasure Valley.

For signing up for the race you get a bib (btw, that's a race number...I feel the need to tell you that because Tawsha Box's son Colton was at the station and he told me how he used to wear bibs as a baby. It was the funniest thing ever, but I was talking about race numbers,) custom medal, St. Paddy's day head band and race photos from the official event photographer!  And if you get tired on that block rock, there is an aid station with water and food on the course. There's also live Celtic rock music from Guess When after the race!

BTW, you're also helping the Idaho Foodbank raise money during the time of year while donations are slower.  The race is a fundraiser for the Idaho Food Bank! Their goal is to raise $1500 for the charity. Want to get on the course? Here's what you need to know!
