Want to get out of Boise and maybe you didn't get a chance to hit the McCall Winter Carnival? You're in luck, you still have a chance to visit an amazingly beautiful winter spot in Idaho for another Winter Festival in a few weeks...the Stanley Winterfest is coming in February.

One thing I love about Idaho living is having all four seasons. No matter what the weather is like we always have something incredible to do here in Boise or within a few hours driving distance. Even in the winter we have places like Bogus, Sun Valley and Brundage to ski and McCall to explore during their Winter Carnival. But have you ever checked out Stanley in the winter?

The home of beautiful Redfish Lake might not be on your winter bucket list, but it definitely should be. From February 9th through 11th, Stanley will be hosting their 9th annual Winterfest - a weekend extravaganza featuring FREE events for the whole family.

There's a reason why this event is advertised as "a cure for cabin fever". Friday's events include a Beach Party and Pub Crawl with events like the Fat Bike Fondo, an Outhouse Race, raft ride, "Wild n' Woolley" Drag Race, and skijoring taking place on Saturday and Sunday. Seriously these events look as hilarious as they sound!

This year's Winterfest also features musical performances by New Transit and Aaron Einhouse as well as a kids concert.
