I didn't even know this existed and it's free! Looking for those kids to take a break from screen time and get in some old-fashioned, "go out and play" energy? Ada County and Avimor are putting on the 4th Annual Kids Duathlon that is a free event.

What is a Duathlon? It's running and biking event for ages 3 to 12 years old. Kids race through the park along a course for half of the event and jump on a bike to finish the remainder of the trail. Bikes and helmets must be worn and provided by the participants.

Families will also be able to enjoy FREE activities at Vendor Village.

  • Exciting craft stations with various games.
  • There will be raffle prizes given out every half hour.
  • St. Luke's will be in attendance to provide healthy snacks including Chobani and Clif Bars.
  • Each participant receives a free t-shirt just for joining.
  • The Home Depot Craft Station will be something kids will also enjoy.
  • Rusty Dog Food Truck will be there with additional breakfast and lunch.

You can register onsite between 8:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.

The first race kicks-off at 9:30 a.m. and is located at Foothill Heritage Community Park in Avimor. They will have event signs posted for easy access. You can also visit their website for more information and registration details.
