I woke up last Sunday in a PANIC!  It had been such a long week and I wanted nothing more to sleep in when I went to bed on Saturday night. That said, I went to bed with my phone turned off and no alarm set.  I woke up at about noon and totally freaked out--I thought that it was Mothers Day!

I've never forgotten it before, but every single year I'm terrified that I will.  My mom and both of my grandmothers live in Nampa (the three strongest women I know).  This is the first time in 4 years that I haven't been out of town for the holiday. Last Mothers Day was a really special one. I graduated from Gonzaga University, becoming the first on my mothers side of the family to finish college. Though it was a special time for her (and my grandmother) to witness my graduation, this year needs to be all about THEM.

Just because of social media and how plugged in we all are, it will be pretty tough to forget about Mothers Day BUT, make sure you don't! Our moms are the most important women in out lives.

I've been browsing around for some ideas on what to do this coming Sunday and I've decided since I so often go to Nampa for home cooked meals, maybe I should do the cooking. If you know anything about me, you know I'm an awful cook. I typically burn things pretty easy or fall asleep while things are on the stove. It's a problem.  I've already committed to cooking, so we'll see how it goes.

What do you plan to do for YOUR mom on mothers day!? Do you have any suggestions of great places to grab brunch or mimosas?
