The Boise man who is accused of lighting off illegal fireworks that started the fire in the Boise foothills has plead not guilty.

19-year-old Taylor Kemp is facing a six month jail sentence as well as a fine of $1,000 if found guilty. The city is also pursuing reimbursement for the $400,000 it cost to fight the massive fire.

Kemp plead not guilty on Thursday, and is due back in court in November for pretrial.
