Table Rock

Did you have to postpone your 4th of July hike up Table Rock after Thursday's fire?  The trails are ready to use again, but there's some info you need to know before you go.

  It's a perfect time to brush up lesser-known facts about the Treasure Valley's favorite viewpoint. - The cross atop Table Rock was built way back in 1956 by the Junior Chamber of Commerce - The now defunct Idaho State Penitentiary at the base of Table Rock is now a favorite "start here" spot for hikers climbing the foothills - The site was sacred ground to the native Shoshone Bannocks,

Today's fire at Table Rock stunned the entire Treasure Valley. Onlookers took to social media to share ominous pictures from their point of view.

Table Rock was a site that could be seen across the Treasure Valley early Thursday morning as fires raged in all directions and fast. Look at the fire crews try to save these homes.

At 3:20 AM a large fire continues to burn atop Table Rock.  At this time officials are confirming that two structures have been completely destroyed.  These are photos from where the bridge is blocked at Park Center Blvd.

I shot my boyfriend a death stare when he said "uhhh...I have to pee" during our Table Rock hike on Sunday because I knew the only bathrooms he could get to were in the Old Pen. That could be changing soon!
