Do you remember the controversy about business serving liquor during movies and live performances that came up during 50 Shades of Gray?

In general, theaters and live performance venues were not allowed to serve alcohol during performances that included depictions of sexual acts.  The portion of the law that regulated movie theaters was repealed months ago, but the portion dealing with live performances had remained.

Now, there has been a settlement between the state and attorneys representing interested parties that strikes down most of the law.  At least for now.

The Legislature may have something to say about it in the 2017 session, and for more on this, check out the Idaho Statesman's coverage.
