The Passwords You NEED To Change Because Of “Heartbleed Bug”
My heart dropped into the pit of my stomach when the first news of the Heartbleed Bug. I had literally just logged into my Intermountain Gas, Idaho Power and bank accounts to pay some bills only to hear that an encryption service that over 2/3 of websites use was being attacked by hackers that could steal log-ins, passwords and credit card information. They say on a scale from 1-10 of how catastrophic this bug could be to the internet, this rates at an 11! So what passwords do you absolutely need to change?
According to a list compiled Mashable some of the most popular websites that you absolutely need to change your passwords on are:
- Tumblr
- Google and Gmail
- Yahoo and Yahoo Mail
- GoDaddy
- Dropbox
- OKCupid
- Soundcloud
