The Treasure Valley has Been Unusually Hot
If you just moved to the Treasure Valley and people keep tell you “it’s not normally this hot in the summer,” they aren’t lying. This has been an unusually warm period the last few weeks.
In fact, in researching what our weather has looked like the last few weeks, it’s clear that this has been one of the warmest in recent history. Are average daily high during the first two weeks of the month was 98.4 degrees according to the Boise Office of the National Weather Service. The warmest day was the 104 degree high on July 8th.
Boise had the 3rd warmest (Jul 1-Jul 16) period on record. This summer also ranks as the 7th warmest on record since June 1. pic.twitter.com/P6QnRZgE2F

It does appear we’re headed back towards triple-digit temperatures soon too. Perhaps with more records to be set.
