Vandal alumni living in the Treasure Valley have something to celebrate! Their team is bowl game bound!

On Saturday, the University of Idaho football team trounced Texas State 47-14.  With their 6-4 record, the Vandals are bowl eligible for the first time since 2009 where they outlasted Bowling Green with a one point victory at the Humanitarian Bowl in Boise.  They also appeared in the Humanitarian Bowl in 1998.  The Vandals boast a perfect bowl game record.

This year it looks like the Vandals will get a chance to leave the Gem State.  Both College Football News and CBS Sports project the Vandals to play in the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl in Tucson.  Their potential rivals are Boise State's foe Air Force or Texas-San Antonio.
