These Vintage Halloween Costumes Will Terrify You! [PHOTOS]

These costumes look like something straight out of American Horror Story: My Roanoke Nightmare and we can't believe that anyone ever wore them!

My guy and I have been together for two years and I had no idea that he was suffering through American Horror Story for me until half way through this season.  I knew he didn't like scary movies, but I didn't know that anything startling he absolutely couldn't deal with. Now I know that's why he can't handle the "Mr. Piggy" character on this season of the FX thriller! (By the way, this picture of it doesn't do ANY justice to how much it will scare the living crap out of you when it appears out of nowhere!)

But did you know people used to have Halloween costumes this terrifying?! I joined the Boise & the Treasure Valley History group on Facebook when I was trying to track down some info about the renovation of the old Huston School near the Sunnyslope region of Canyon County.  One of the group members posted these old school Halloween costumes on the group pages and I can't believe people used to dress like this! Say what you want about the "slutty costumes" you'll see this weekend.  I'll take those over costumes like these ANY DAY!
