Didn't it feel like July was the hottest month ever?

Well, it was pretty close.

According to National Weather Service Boise, July 2017 was the second hottest month in Boise history, bested only once since 1877. While the reasons why will surely be debated, there's no denying the numbers. The average high temperature this July was 97.3°, which is about 6° higher than normal. We hit a monthly high of 104°, which when you add on the fact that we had next to zero rain, means one hell of a hot month.

Don't look for temperatures to let up anytime soon. We'll be above 100° every day this week, with temps dropping this weekend into the mid 90's.

If it's any consolation, Halloween is only three months away! It'll surely be cooler by then...right?
