It's been the norm as of late, to celebrate the flood of new restaurants opening in the Treasure Valley. But every now and then news breaks of a well-known established restaurant closing its doors, and today is that day. I was shocked to find out that Superb Sushi located below the Thomas Hammar in downtown Boise, will be saying goodbye this weekend Saturday the 13th.

Mike Deeds curator of the Words and Deeds Blogs found on the Idaho Statesman broke the sad news.

A longtime sushi destination in Downtown Boise will say goodbye this weekend.

Superb Sushi, which opened at 280 N. 8th St. in 2005, will close after its final day of business Saturday, Oct. 13.

The Boise sushi favorite was recently featured on Man vs Food where the host completed the famous “Demon’s Delight" challenge. Throughout the years Superb is where I would take friends visiting the Treasure Valley to show off how great Boise's sushi scene is. I'm Sad to see this one go.
