This Week: Hot Air Balloons Everywhere!

It's the time of year where you're driving to work and look up to see hot air balloons filling the Treasure Valley skies. At times, it feels like we can reach out and touch them. See when they'll be in the sky this week! 

I'm trying to prepare Chris Cruise for what's about to happen as we celebrate 25 years at the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic. Here's how it looked last year:

So you can plan ahead for this week, here is a schedule of what happens when - starting on Wednesday.

• Wednesday, August 31st - Kids' Day. At 7:15 a.m. kids and families are welcome to Ann Morrison Park to pose for pictures in the baskets of the tethered balloons for free. There will also be Kid's Day activities.
• Thursday, September 1st - Media Day. Staring at 7:00 a.m. the first 2016 multiple balloon launch will take off from Ann Morrison Park.
• Friday, September 2nd - Night Glow. At 8:15 p.m. or when it turns dusk, 25 balloons will line Ann Morrison Park to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this hometown event and will light the night sky with colorful balloons. It's definitely something to be seen.
