Part of me wants to go to sleep as soon as I get home from the office so that I can watch the lunar eclipse tonight!  A lunar eclipse happens when the moon passes directly behind the Earth and only happens during a full moon.  During a lunar eclipse the Earth casts a shadow on the moon and blocks the rays of the sun. Tonight's is the first of four predicted to happen over the next two years.

According to Timeanddate.com, the total lunar eclipse begins in the Treasure Valley at 1:08 AM, reaches maximum eclipse at 1:46 AM and will be over around 2:23 AM.
