Good job to everybody in the 208. Out of all the places I've lived the Treasure Valley has the strongest sense of community. When someone needs help, we help, and the Meridian Police Department needed your help to get an alleged scumbag off the street, and it worked.

A man accused of seriously injuring an ex-girlfriend in her home is now in custody, Meridian Police announced Saturday.
Police asked the public for tips about 33-year-old Brant Nye on Friday, after, they say, he entered his ex-girlfriend's home and severely battered her. She suffered significant injuries that required surgery.

It didn't take long for the original story posted to go viral. Because the word got out so quickly, Mr Nye was caught in Boise and faces charges that include aggravated battery, two counts of burglary, malicious injury to property, violating a no-contact order (third offense), and misdemeanor battery according to the KTVB report. Plus look at that shiner.

As our city continues to grow, let's make sure our sense of community grows with it!
