This quote comes from the First Lady, Michelle Obama, who just brought the house down with her speech during the Democratic National Convention Monday night. You don't have to be a political person to use this quote and pass it along to EVERYONE you know.

When they go low, we go high! - Michelle Obama

I like this quote for several reasons. Apply this to LIFE. The First Lady is referring to people attacking with words and hate. We all go through this and so do our kids. Our kids take it from all directions including texts, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and the everyday slur. We have to be better. We have to be stronger. We have to be smarter.

Never get in the gutter with hate. When they go low and take cheap shots at your weight, hair, family or say anything to hurt your feelings, don't fall for it. "We go High" refers to the high road. My dad always said anyone can fight, but it take a real man to walk away. I believe that. It doesn't make me weak. I'm stronger for it. Don't fuel the flames for someone else's hate. The low blows will only continue if you let them. Lift your head up, walk straight and just say thank you.
