Are you sick of trying to cram your greatest quips into 140 characters?

Twitter is working on some minor changes to help you along the way.

Here's some of the changes Twitter is working on that should take place by the end of the year:

Most Links Will Still Count Toward Your 140 Characters

Just like Facebook, Twitter doesn't want you clicking out of the app to go get your content somewhere else. They say it's to limit spam attacks, but I see right through your vile deceit, you silly blue bird.

Media Links Do Not

Thank The Maker! Want to share a GIF of Kelly Kapowski from Saved By The Bell? Or a funny meme of Chewbacca Mom? Post 'em up! GIFS and photos will no longer count against your precious 140 characters.

Your Replies Are Public To Everyone

At the moment, Twitter doesn't feature your replies on your main feed. That's changing. When someone clicks on your timeline, it'll include all tweets, retweets, and replies. So be careful who you wish death upon.

You Can Now Retweet Yourself

Is your Hillary Clinton joke garnering likes and retweets? Do you want to make sure everyone sees it fifty times? Then retweet yourself, son! This is probably going to get obnoxious real quick, and result in more unfollows than you've ever seen, so use sparingly.

When Will My Twitter Have The Updates?

No word yet from the house of blue bird on exactly when we'll see the new features. We also don't know if Twitter will roll them all out at once, or one at a time. So until then, we're going to have to do things the way our great-grandparents did. Only without all the walking uphill both ways too school.
