I must admit, growing up I was never a huge "gamer".  My parents weren't huge on my playing video games and I had a love for playing sports anyway-- that kept me really busy. As I got older, I wanted an XBOX like all of my friends had so I remember as if it were yesterday, having my mom take me to Fred Meyer to spend my own money on an XBOX gaming system. I bought one game: NCAA Basketball 2k6. It was the only game I ever owned and played...and even that didn't last long.

You could say I just never "understood" video games but today I experienced something that left me wanting more: it was unreal! I never thought that Virtual Reality would be a part of my weekday but I stopped by VR Tech Lounge in Meridian ahead of tomorrows big Boise Music Festival ticket stop (from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.). They threw a VR headset onto me with headphones and some controllers and just like that it was like I was in a whole new world! In fact, having never experienced this, when I was tasked with walking on a plank thousands of feet in the air--it actually FELT like I was that far up and about to fall. I was nervous!

I captured some video from my visit that I'm excited to share with you soon, however if you've ever wondered what Virtual Reality is like, tomorrow is your best chance to do so! We'll hook it up with some BMF tickets, VR Tech Lounge will show off their experiences, and it's going to be a great time!

We'll see you tomorrow from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.!

VR Tech Lounge is located at: 1551 W. Cherry Ln, Meridian Idaho.
