Did someone say free pizza?  YASSS!  It's National Pizza Day on Saturday and unless you're from another planet, you LOVE pizza!

But first, a little history on pizza.  The first pizzas ever made, were probably around 997BC and are from the central and southern regions of Italy.  The first pizza actually were more like focaccia bread(yum).  Pizza was mostly a thing Italians ate until after WWII.  Returning soldiers brought the recipes and appetite back from the war!

Traditional Italian pizza, is super thin, chewy crust, with light tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella.  Topped with basil and olive oil.  You may know it as pizza margherita.  Of course, in 'Merica, we love our pepperoni!  So whether you're a NY styles(thin, big slices you fold), Chicago style(deep dish, loaded with cheese and sauce) or Detroit style(rectangular, thick crust, with meat and cheese), you'll want to check out these places this weekend and Boise and surrounding areas, to grab a free slice of pie and enjoy National Pizza Day, on Saturday February, 2nd!

(side note)

I'm Italian and yes I dip my pizza in ranch!  It's not a crime :)  how about you?
