Want to be a Drone Pilot? There’s a Class for That

You can enroll in a college course in Idaho to teach you how to fly a drone.

Yes, you read that right.

Both North Idaho College and Treasure Valley Community College will be offering the course sporadically, depending on demand.

The FAA used to have a rule that you had to possess a pilot's license in order to operate a drone. The rule has been updated, and now only requires you to take a 16-hour course.

We've seen drones popping up all over the Treasure Valley. At the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic, every major race, and even Black Rock Coffee Bar uses them to shoot video.

So watch the sky! Just make sure you take the course before you take to the sky.
